Certification Requirements
To become a certified Louisiana Master Naturalist:
- Complete application and enrollment process
- Attend at least 7 of 9 workshops (including mandatory opening and closing sessions)
- Complete 20 hours of approved volunteer service within 6 months
- Pay annual membership dues ($50)
- Choose assessment method: reflections or final exam

How to Apply
Ready to begin your journey as a Louisiana Master Naturalist? Follow these simple steps to apply for our certification program.
Steps to Enroll in Workshops
Step 1: Choose Your Session
- Spring workshops: Saturdays
- Fall workshops: Fridays
- Both include one Friday-Saturday overnight workshop
Step 2: Complete Application
- Fill out the online application form
- Indicate your preferred term
- Submit to join the enrollment queue
Step 3: Await Notification
- Applications processed first-come, first-served
- Email notification of acceptance
- Instructions for payment provided
Step 4: Submit Payment
- Pay $275 tuition upon acceptance
- Payment confirms your enrollment
- Multiple payment options available
IMPORTANT: Do not submit payment until you receive an acceptance notification. Submitting an application places you in a queue but does not guarantee enrollment.
